Iris Lego Project Case Chest
This was an excellent choice. Lego sells the draws for $10 each and not the stand. This one comes complete and is cheaper. It holds so many Legos and now I even have a place for all the books. I may have to order another.
Organize your Lego's by color, size, set. Build and display creations with base plate top. Keep your instruction manuals and building base plates in one place. Store bricks, minifigures, sets and other accessories and play materials. Each project case has in-molded Lego labels. Includes two building base plates. Play and put away workstation - take unit out to build and store away when finished.
- Workstation, storage and display unit all in one - creative play chest.
- Includes two building base plates.
- Building base plates fit on top of unit and inside portable project cases.
- Raised edges of top keep base plate secure for building or displaying creations.
- Portable project cases serve as filing system for sets or grab 'n go solution.
Organize Those Legos!!!
My son had mounds and mounds of legos in his play area. He really needed to get organized, so I sought a solution. The Iris Lego Project Case Chest is perfect. This chest lets you organize your legos in very neat compartments. If you have a lego project in progress, there's no need to worry. You can easily slip it into a case and resume your project later.
Good in theory, but...
I really wanted to love this, but I don't. The cases that hold the Legos have to be closed and latched in order to be put away. So, every time my sons wanted to play with Legos, every case needed to be taken out, opened up and laid on the floor. This makes for a big mess and is very impractical.. especially if your sons play with Legos frequently! It might be more practical for Grandmas house. I ended up with a TROFAST system (white, three drawers high, three drawers wide) from ikea to organize the Legos- one for the "guys" and their accessories and the rest by color. Used a brother label maker to label the drawers (which are open at the top, easy to slide in and out!) so the boys know exactly where everything goes. So much easier and much more practical than a bunch of opened up cases spread all over the place!
