The gorilla-mech is awesome...but sadly it's top-heavy
This set contains four minifigs, one mech and one small tree with a small flying vehicle attached to it's top.
The minifgs are three gorillas (Gorzan, Grumlo and Gloona) and one raven (Rizzo). The minifigs are , as always, awesome! "Legends of Chima" has become my favourite LEGO-theme primarily because of the minifigs. I already have a lot of raven minifgs but it's the first time I'm getting so many gorilla minifigs. The gorilla minifgs are just beautiful. Lovely printing and detailing. Gloona minifig carries "fists" which are , I think, the first time LEGO has released this piece. Even the hammer-head pieces (one each for Gorzan and Grumlo) are a first-time-ever. So that's one of the many good things in this set. The raven minifig (Rizzo) is also very nice. Rizzo carries one assembled-weapon. I generally hate the assembled weapons from LEGO as I feel that they look lame and that thye should be made from a single-mold rather than assembling it. Stomp through the jungle and rescue G'Loona in Gorzan's Gorilla Striker. Find Rizzo in his raven nest tower and launch the chest-mounted flick missiles. Then fire the shoulder-mounted banana shooter. Watch out for Rizzo's CHI weapons and fruit-slinging catapult. Use the Gorilla Striker's mighty swinging arms to crash down on Rizzo and send him flying. What can I say...they're Legos. The arrived promptly, well packaged for travel. These are the exact ones he wanted for Christmas, so I am positive they will be a hit.
Awesome set
This is a great set that does many things. My 7 year old saved up his money to buy it, and put it together in one afternoon. It has a lot of parts for the price.
