Playmobil is great...but I hate it is now made in China
We have always been huge Playmobil fans...but the there is a huge difference in the quality of what was made in Germany vs. what is made in China. It is still a fun toy but the plastic is not nearly as durable and quite honestly I don't think the toys are as well thought out. The sets have gotten smaller with less accessories and the quality has gone down but the price has not changed. I will hold on to what we have purchased over the years but will make more of an effort to find the now "vintage" made in Germany sets when possible.

I was attracted to the portability and self storing capability. The pieces are very nice. I bought it for 7 and 9 year old grand children.
Being able to put it away quickly and store it is a big plus for me.
Nice set
My 3 year old daughter received this for Christmas. She is on the young side for Playmobil, but she really loved her older sister Playmobil, so I decided to get her her own set. She was really excited when she opened this. There was a bit of assembly required, but I didn't think it was too bad. The drawers all pull in and out and have enough space to store the tools and other accessories. The wheelchair only fits children, adults don't fit in it. The casts are a bit problematic. The leg cast is very difficult to remove once it is put on, and the arm cast doesn't stay on at all. I'm not sure if this is just our set or if it is a common problem. Also, the door handles pop off easily, but they are equally easy to snap back on. Both my 6 year old and 3 year old like this set, but the thing that gets the most play is the "Playmobil Doctor with Incubator" set that I bought to go with it. Both girls LOVE that little set.
